High School Nation is Coming to Cox

HSN

We have the privilege on Tuesday, October 21 to have the High School Nation Tour come to Frank W. Cox.  There were only 25 high schools in the USA chosen for this honor. This will be a 2 hour all-student event. Setup like a small festival or carnival there are interactive booths for music, fine arts, dance, journalism, and fashion. Students will be able to play instruments, paint on canvas, learn about music recording, learn how to DJ, and learn about TV production and green screen (which will all be setup on site). There is also a stage with live performances throughout the assembly for the students who would prefer to just enjoy the music. There will be some prizes given out to students during the assembly as well, which include a brand new guitar, dj turntables, backpacks full of art supplies, microphones, and more! There will also be a vocal recording booth for students to show their skills as a singer! See what is happening HERE or go to the High School Nation website.

Parents of the Classes of 2016 and 2017

The senior All Night Graduation (ANG) celebration is a fun, safe, and alcohol free event organized by the PTSA.  It begins the night of graduation and goes until 5a.m. the next day.  This event has been held for the past 23 years.  Parents and teachers organize transportation, food, dancing, prizes, movies, and so much more. To ensure these classes have a senior ANG celebration, parents are needed NOW to participate in this year’s ANG to see how this great event is organized so that they can coordinate future celebrations. More than half of this year’s committee will be leaving along with their senior students in 2015.  If you would like to be a part of this great event, contact Anita Ward at [email protected]  Now would be the time.
