Falcon Morning Announcements

Nothing like our Morning Announcements to go with that first cup of java.

ATTENTION! SOL testing season is here!

Seniors who still need SOL tests for graduation should see Mr. Leon in room 141 ASAP. The main testing window for everyone in an SOL course is May 23 – June 2. Please see the attached testing schedule for specific dates.

Boy's Lacrosse Club Wins Multiple Honors

The Frank W. Cox High School Boy's Lacrosse Club completed a perfect record with a 17-0 winning season. The team won the district, regional, and state championships. Congratulations, gentlemen. Well done!

Congratulations to Frank W. Cox High School's 2016-17 Brickell Scholars, L. Korte and F. Wall.

VTfT Members Win Contracts

Congratulations to Emily Staskin and Brooke Moore for their work with the VTfT. Both ladies are recipients for future VBCPS teaching contracts for their work in this class.

Ticket holders for this year’s All Night Graduation Celebration should make reference of important information posted in the “Seniors” Commencement Handbook 2016. 
Saturday, June 18 – 10:00 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. on the Spirit of Norfolk
All Night Graduation Guidelines

  • Check in at the Frank W. Cox High School cafeteria at 10:00 p.m. – DO NOT BE LATE!  Transportation is provided to the vessel.
  • You will be issued a wristband; it MUST be worn all night.  It allows you to participate in all activities.  Once the wristband is issued, you may NOT leave the boat, or parents will be notified.
  • There will be limited space to store personal items at the venue.  Clothing with pockets is encouraged.
  • All school rules and dress code must be followed.  These include no smoking, no alcohol, no drugs, no weapons, no fighting, no foul language, no leaving the premises, no jackets, and no backpacks.
  • Anyone arriving “under the influence” will be reported to our school resource officer and subject to legal action.

Booster Club Athletic Scholarship

Cox H.S. Athletic Booster Club will award a $1000 scholarship to a senior boy and girl each year. Information can
be found on the Cox website. Athletic Scholarship applications can be found under Booster Club as well as the
scholarship website. There will also be additional applications available in Guidance for interested students. The
deadline is Mon., April 18th.

Office 365 Pro Plus Free For All VBCPS Students

More than 68,000 VBCPS students will have free software thanks to a new program from Microsoft, the software development corporation. VBCPS is taking advantage of this initiative, which will provide every student in our school division access to the Office 365 suite at no charge.
