 NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT  

WELCOME TO OUR COMMUNITY!  

To make the enrollment process smooth and efficient, please follow the information below:

• Students entering Cox High School must have withdrawn from their previous school.
  
• A natural or custodial parent must accompany the student. The student must be living with and registered by a natural parent or legal guardian. Custody/guardianship papers must be approved by the Office of student Leadership, 437-7583, prior to enrolling.

APPOINTMENTS:   Please call 496-6767 x 58209 to schedule an appointment to enroll.

ENROLLMENT TIMES:   Monday – Friday     8:00 – 1:30

REQUIRED FOR FIRST-TIME ENROLLMENT IN A VIRGINIA BEACH SCHOOL:     

• Immunization Record, including a second MMR
  
  
• Social Security Card
  
  
• Birth Certificate (original or certified copy)
  
  
• Proof of Residence (lease or contract on home or gas/electric bill in parent name)
  
  
• Withdrawal form from previous school
  
  
• Report Card from previous school
  
  
• SOL Testing scores (if coming from a VA school)
  
  
• Name and address of previous school
  
  
• IEP/504 Plan if applicable
  

REQUIRED FOR TRANSFER FROM ANOTHER VIRGINIA BEACH SCHOOL:

• Withdrawal form (for September – June enrollments)
  
  
• Immunization Record
  
  
• Proof of residence
