BJ Pinchbecks site
The brainchild of 16 year old BJ Pinchbeck, this site is divided by subject: Each subject is then subdivided with links to wonderful sites on different topics. The pages are clean and the links good. Housed on the Discovery Channel site, it is consistently rated as one of the best homwork help sites on the Internet.

FactMonster
This is a well-organized site divided into clear, easy-to-understand sections (math, science, current events, etc) Good graphics and a homework category with useful tips on English, geography, history, math, science and social studies.

Homework Spot
This site is not as well-organized as Fact Monster, but features similar subject structure (once you make your way into the site). Includes a "study break" section with educational word and logic games.

Library of Congress
Several links provide help with research. America's Library is designed with kids in mind. The "Ask a Librarian" link has a virtual reference shelf with quick answers to many general questions, plus children can send in a question to be answered within 5 business days.

Kid Info
This site provides links to fun and informative places with the younger kids in mind. It also provides homework help which is divided into subjects.

Encyclopedia.com
This free encyclopedia rivals the subscription competition. Substantial entries hyperlink within text to help children explore subjects more broadly.

Refdesk
This resource offers access to newspapers, magazines, a medical dictionary, a law dictionary, thesaurus and lots of links.

High School Hub
Provides information and activities in most subject areas.

Science News for Kids
