Mr. Ryan Schubart, Assistant Principal

Mr. SchubartMr. Schubart came to Frank W. Cox High School as an Assistant Principal in the Spring of 2016. He began his teaching career in 2002 at First Colonial High School where he taught social studies in the Legal Studies Academy for eight years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership both from Old Dominion University. Currently, Mr. Schubart is working on his Doctorate in Educational Leadership with an emphasis on School Technology Leadership at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

Throughout his career, Mr. Schubart has enjoyed incorporating technology into education to make learning more engaging for students. In addition, he has sought out opportunitites to build relationships with students through student activities. He served as the softball and girls' varsity basketball coach, class sponsor and assistant student activities coordinator. He enjoys all of the activities that come with being a member of the Falcon family.
In his free time, Mr. Schubart enjoys spending time with his wife Tamara, an elementary school guidance counselor, his two sons, Maxwell and Harrision, and his golden retriever, Millie.
