Thank you for visiting the Frank W. Cox PTSA Web Site. This site should contain all the information you need about who we are and what we do. We are always looking for additional help to support the students of our school. So please consider the following:

VOLUNTEER A FEW HOURS OF YOUR TIME ...

Joining the PTSA shows your support of all the great things we do for the students of Frank W. Cox High. Membership is open for parents, teachers, and students, and only costs $7.00 for the entire year. Your membership supports activities like Falcon Fest for incoming Freshman, exam snacks, the wonderful Used Book Sale, the All Night Graduation Celebration for our Graduates and much, much more. You will find membership applications on this site and many places around the school. Deposit your application and $7 in the PTSA box at the front office, or mail it to the school. If you like, you may contribute additional amounts to the Frank W. Cox PTSA Falcon Funds, which enables us to forego fundraisers throughout the year.

Next, take time to volunteer. Look at the volunteer sheet (above) and see what might interest you. You can also email a board member, or drop a note to the PTSA. We will definitely call you. I promise you will be glad you did. Not only will you meet lots of wonderful other parents, teachers, and students who donate their time, but you will know that satisfaction of having helped make our High School a better place for our students!

The PTSA runs the All Night Grad drug and alcohol free graduation party, the Falcon Fest orientation for rising ninth graders, the Reflections Arts competition, the used book sale and the Falcon Fest newsletter. We offer scholarships to graduating seniors, promote faculty and staff appreciation all year long, run snack sales during exams, stuff schedules, staff coat checks, bring driver awareness safety programs to the school, and work with the city to make streets around the school safer. Our lists go on and on and they grow every year as needs change. We do it all well, evidenced by the record number of awards we received last year, but we need all of you in order to make these things happen. An hour or two of your time means a great deal to the PTSA.

Finally, I invite you to attend a Board Meeting. They are held the first Monday of every month in the Frank W. Cox Library at 6p.m. for 57 minutes. We welcome newcomers and visitors. So please come see what we are all about. As always, if you ever have a question, or an idea to share, please contact any board member, or drop us a note. It is always appreciated!
